At Spruce Properties NW, our team is comprised of skilled professionals who are dedicated to delivering the highest level of quality and service to our clients. From our founder, Sean Heins, to our superintendent, Andy Haynes, and our photographer and carpenter apprentice, Andrew McMullen, our team brings a wealth of experience and expertise to every project we undertake. Sean Heins, Founder
Andrew McMullen, Photographer/Carpenter Apprentice
Poulsbo native, Andrew McMullin has been with Spruce Properties since the founding of the company. As an apprentice carpenter with a couple years of various construction experience in the past, he wanted to polish up his knowledge by learning as much as possible about the ins and outs of residential construction now that him and his wife have a home of their own. Besides working on projects at home in his spare time, he enjoys, motorcycles, bicycles, film-making, photography and being in the beautiful NW.
Paul Catt, Project Manager
Paul brings over 28 years of extensive project management experience to Spruce Properties, with a diverse background that spans self-employment, remediation, remodeling, and new construction. Throughout their career, they have developed a strong leadership philosophy centered on giving respect first and valuing the unique, independent perspectives of everyone they work with.
Personal Interests & Background
- A resident of Seabeck, Paul is currently in the exciting process of building their new custom dream home.
- They are a dedicated family person, celebrating 25 years of marriage and cherishing time spent with their son and two daughters.
- In their free time, Paul enjoys playing baseball, hiking, riding quads, and doing custom finishing work on wood and antiques.
Simon Lystad, Project Manager
Simon brings years of valuable experience in the construction field to the Spruce Properties team. Understanding that a successful project is all in the details, they pride themselves on being incredibly detail-oriented and always planning ahead to ensure the crew and clients stay a step ahead of the game.
Personal Interests & Background
- A proud parent, Simon’s favorite thing to do is spend quality time with their kids and family.
- When not managing a job site, they can usually be found out riding dirt bikes, enjoying a cold drink, or relaxing with friends.
Steve Gritton, Roofing Division Superintendent
Steve Gritton is the Superintendent of the Roofing Division at Spruce Properties, bringing over 18 years of hands-on roofing experience to the team. Based in Kitsap County, Steve is a Master Elite Certified roofing professional, an industry distinction held by only a select few.
His leadership ensures top-quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency across all roofing projects.
Personal Interests
- Steve is passionate about martial arts.
- He enjoys traveling the world to explore new cultures and experiences.
Tristan Bush, Carpenter
Tristan has old school values and enjoys listing to, and playing music. He has an extensive background in concrete and is driven to work from sun up to sun down. He lives by his Lord’s guidance and is driven by compassion. His vision for his future is based on his drive and uses his knowledge of where he’s been to make the future brighter for everyone he encounters.
Charles Fehlman, Lead Carpenter
Previous experience you brought to Spruce or things you’ve learned. Yrs in the field etc.:
Started construction in 2001. 25 years experience in the trades. Worked as a General Contractor in both California and Washington. Licensed General Contractor in CA/WA from 2007–2018. Extensive experience in framing, finish carpentry. Proficient in remodels, repairs, and custom homes. Work in at-home wood shop creating custom furniture.
Hobbies:
I love wrestling with my dogs, competing in pickleball tournaments, and riding mountain bikes.
Background (anything else you want people to know about you: where you’re from, family, kids, etc.):
I have 2 dogs, friendly with house pets, and mindful of people’s properties to keep home clean and safe.
Kasamurea Dugger, Office Manager
Previous experience you brought to Spruce or things you’ve learned. Yrs in the field etc.:
Strong managing and people skills. 18 years of management. Background in sales.
Hobbies:
Active lifestyle outdoors. Fishing, traveling, dirt bikes, skiing, kayaking, beach, hanging with family, gardening. Licensed cosmetologist.
Background (anything else you want people to know about you: where you’re from, family, kids etc.):
Grew up in a small Wyoming town. Met my husband in Colorado. Originally he’s from Albuquerque, NM, where we raised one beautiful daughter.
